Please sir, can I have s'more?

Pin It In honor of my new internship, I decided to treat myself and buy a propane torch to play with.  Don't worry, mom... I am very careful to not have flammable materials or the threat of any unexpected spark nearby.  What better to use the torch for than a s'mores tart for halloween!
Me, unenthused with getting my picture taken.

Now, let's watch this little baby in action.

And, of course, the finished product.
Thanks, Home Depot!  You're a gem.

For all of you who were following my last blog, I promise you that I will stay put at this address for awhile.  I feel as if I am finally getting my feet sturdy and figuring out what it is that I want, at least for now.
It's been a tumultuous, but extremely rewarding year.  I finally graduated undergrad, only to surprise my friends and family with a new dream.  I held hands with the people I love the most during some really trying times in the late winter that while extremely hard, taught me to hold onto those who love me.  While times like those can make you want to stay close to home, they can also clear your head, make you realize what you really want, and truly inspire you to become something.
I took a leap in July and left my friends and family to start pastry school.  I have loved every second of it, even if I am far away from my large support system.  I have come to realize that  I will always be close to the people that I am close to at heart, no matter the physical distance.
THANK YOU to all of you that have ever been there for me.  I don't know if I would be here without you.  Keep in touch and keep visiting me at hazelnutblog.com.
